The Imprint
Founded by N. B. Raj

Kahani Press is an independent publishing imprint founded to give a permanent, considered home to fiction drawn from the histories, mythologies, languages, and landscapes of the Indian subcontinent. It is the imprint under which every N. B. Raj title is, and will be, published.
The premise is simple: the subcontinent holds some of the world’s richest unreleased stories — of lost dynasties, hush-quiet villages, riverine borderlands, half-remembered creatures, and ordinary lives knit into extraordinary moments. Kahani Press exists to turn those stories into novels that are researched with care and built to be read with pleasure.
More than a label on a spine, the imprint is intended as a slowly growing library — interconnected works that, taken together, sketch a modern storytelling universe distinctly South Asian in inspiration and universal in reach.
Stories rooted in heritage. Crafted for everyone.
